The Coach Who Works At Seventy Two Without Needing Money | John Nieuwenburg | Ep 1001
Description
"None of us were born in business, we're born to live." - John Nieuwenburg
Join Niiamah (@niiamahashong) and John Nieuwenburg. John is seventy-two. He keeps twenty-five to thirty clients, works three and a half days a week, and turns the rest away. He tripled the business after 2018 and then chose to stop.
This session sits on the order of operations most leaders run backwards. Decide the life. Work out what would have to be true about the business for that life to exist. Build only that. It also names what stops leaders from doing it, and it is not the plan.
Three things you take with you:
- Visions are not authored. They arrive, and curiosity is what keeps you in the room when one does.
- The owner is the ceiling. All business coaching is personal coaching in disguise.
- Most leaders quit at six months because the root canal is fixed and a toothache is survivable.
Welcome to the Outlier's Edge Podcast, hosted by Niiamah Ashong, Founder of Outlier's Edge and Sherpa of the World of Difference. On this podcast, you'll join other high-performing unconventional leaders and entrepreneurs (aka Outliers) as they talk about leveraging what makes them different to make a difference in the world.
