Episode Details

A drug deal gone wrong brought armed men to an Arlington apartment where a sixteen year old honor student was studying alone, and what followed became one of the most harrowing federal kidnapping cases in American history. Her voice on a 911 call, pleading for help that arrived too late, would later anchor a prosecution spanning two states and lead to a death sentence carried out twenty six years afterward. This is the story of Lisa Rene, an innocent life caught in violence that was never hers to inherit.
