Episode Details

What do you do after getting fired from a major college football job with millions of dollars in buyout money? Apparently, you head to Disney World. Ryan Brown joins the show and tells the hilarious story of running into former Auburn Tigers head coach Brian Harsin at EPCOT shortly after Auburn fired him in 2022. Harsin was enjoying his first real Christmas vacation — and Ryan somehow kept running into him over and over again throughout the park. That leads to a bigger conversation about the incredible life of fired college football coaches collecting massive buyouts, why coaches like Gus Malzahn, Jimbo Fisher, Gene Chizik and others seemingly can’t stay away from football, and whether coaching at the highest level becomes an addiction. Plus, the guys dive into some of the biggest college football programs that have STILL never reached the College Football Playoff. Is USC the most shocking omission? What happened to Wisconsin’s identity? And how has Florida gone this long without returning to college football’s biggest stage? They also discuss: 🏈 Which teams could make their first College Football Playoff appearance 🏈 USC and Lincoln Riley’s difficult path to the CFP 🏈 Wisconsin’s fall from Big Ten contender 🏈 Florida’s coaching struggles after Urban Meyer 🏈 Why fired coaches struggle to actually retire 🏈 Brian Harsin’s post-Auburn Disney World vacation 🏈 The best and worst months of the year 🏌️ Why golfers can’t wait for winter to end 🎬 Why people are going to movie theaters less often 🍿 Whether $70 for a family trip to the movies is worth it 🎥 Why movies like Top Gun: Maverick and The Odyssey still demand the big-screen experience And Ryan previews an upcoming discussion on the biggest villains in college football history.
