Fears Clare Farmers Will Bear Brunt Of Reduced Livestock Ferries

The Clare based former General Secretary of the Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers Association is calling on the Agriculture Minister to ensure Irish farmer's rights to access the EU Single Market are upheld.
It comes in the wake of Brittany Ferries' decision to cancel livestock shipping from Rosslare to France, in September.
This has resulted in Independent Ireland TD Michael Fitzmaurice requesting a meeting with the company's management to discuss the matter.
Former ICSA General Secretary, Cratloe farmer Eddie Punch says it could seriously impact livelihoods here.
