Description
Coventry City are reported to have agreed a deal to sign the Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi from FC Nordsjaelland, though neither club has announced anything. The Danish paper Tipsbladet broke the story on Wednesday morning and is the origin of the fee, 27 million euros up front with a further 22.5 million kroner in bonuses, which would be a record sale out of the Danish Superliga. The Coventry Observer, citing Sky Sports News, report that Nordsjaelland have given the 20 year old permission to travel to finalise the move, and CoventryLive reported on Wednesday evening that photos had appeared online of him arriving in Birmingham for a medical. Also, from the club: ticket details are confirmed for the opening day at Arsenal on Friday 21 August, an 8pm kick off at the Emirates Stadium, with a full allocation of 3,003, sales opening on Monday 10 August on loyalty points and adult tickets at £30. Club items aired as fact, press reported as press.
