Description
Alvopetro Energy Ltd (TSX-V:ALV, OTC:ALVOF, FRA:A6Y0) CEO Corey Ruttan tells Proactive's Stephen Gunnion that Q2 2026 sales volumes averaged 3,067 barrels of oil equivalent per day, up 26% year-on-year, with revenue of just over $19 million and funds flow from operations of $14.1 million. Ruttan pointed to an operating net back of just over $59 per boe and an 86% net back profit margin, driven by a royalty burden under 6% and low-cost gas production under Brazil's fiscal regime. Condensate and oil prices rose 46% and 65% respectively year-on-year. On the Murucututu field, Ruttan said the first well drilled in 2026 is set to come on stream within days, a second is midway through drilling with results due late August or early September, and a third will follow immediately after. Field production facilities are being expanded roughly fourfold, with completion expected by year-end, alongside gas processing facility upgrades due by the end of September. From 1 August, the quarterly contract price reset lifted the natural gas price to $11.70 per MCF - about 7% above the Q2 realised price of nearly $11 per MCF. Ruttan said the company has modelled longer-term pricing based on current futures market data in its corporate presentation.
