Once upon a time, a man went to a tea shop as usual and said, “Brother, give me a cup of tea, but give me half the sugar.” The shopkeeper was surprised and asked, “Why is there less sugar?” The man said with a serious face, “If you give me more sugar, it will run out quickly!” Everyone laughed. When he got the tea in his hand, he said again, “Don’t fill the cup completely, just give me a little.” The shopkeeper jokingly said, “If you want, you can even smell the cup!” Then everyone present started laughing. The man realized that excessive stinginess makes people laughable. Therefore, it is wise to spend according to need, not to be stingy unnecessarily.
