A standout tight end, Brown helped lead Georgia to three consecutive SEC titles and an undefeated 1980 season capped by a Sugar Bowl win over Notre Dame. He caught 12 passes for 253 yards and 2 TDs that year, finishing his college career with 44 catches, 832 yards, and 10 touchdowns alongside Herschel Walker. Drafted by the Vikings in 1983, he later played in the USFL before retiring in 1985. Former QB Buck Belue remembered his clutch touchdown in the 1980 SEC title game against Auburn.
