Activists raise their voices at city council and on the streets

Today marks two weeks since Madison police shot and killed Corey Ruiz at a busy intersection on the city’s near-east side. Public comment stretched into the early morning hours Wednesday at the first city council meeting since the incident.
While some activists took the microphone to express their outrage, others returned to the streets for a protest that culminated in more arrests.
