Published 1 week, 2 days ago
Description
Fears Kiwi kids are being left at risk - as court-ordered temporary protection orders take several days to be served.
Data revealed to Newstalk ZB shows victims are often waiting a week or more for respondents to be served with orders designed to provide immediate protection.
The average service time nationally has risen from seven days in 2021, to around nine to 10 days in recent years.
Aviva's Gwenda Kendrew told Ryan Bridge it's time the focus shifts from responding to violence, to preventing it.
