With construction of the Flying Fortress Traffic Interchange nearing completion, the City of Kingman is preparing to celebrate the grand opening of this long awaited transportation project. The community is invited to save the date for the official grand opening ceremony on Monday, October 5, 2026. The event will commemorate the opening of both the new Flying Fortress I-40 Traffic Interchange and the Parkway connection to Airway Avenue. The celebration will feature an official ribbon-cutting ceremony and a special flyover by a World War II-era B-17 Flying Fortress aircraft.
