99% gold recovery strengthens Carnavale Resources' Kookynie development

Episode 14651 Published 2 days, 3 hours ago
Description
Carnavale Resources Ltd managing director Humphrey Hale talked with Proactive about detailed metallurgical testwork from the Kookynie Gold Project in Western Australia, where gold recoveries reached as high as 99%. The Definitive Feasibility Study-level program returned gold recoveries of 98% from oxide and transitional material and 99% from fresh rock at a 106-micron grind size. Gravity gold recovery was also strong, ranging from 71% in oxide material to more than 81% in fresh rock. Hale said the results confirmed earlier metallurgical work while providing substantially more detail across the deposit’s main mineralogical domains. Carnavale intends to pursue a low-capital development model involving mining at Kookynie and processing the ore through a nearby third-party facility. Hale said the metallurgical data would support discussions around toll-treatment or ore-purchase arrangements. He added that the project’s technical work was complete, with reports being finalised ahead of the financial modelling and completion of the feasibility study. The company would then move towards permitting, project financing and development planning. Visit Proactive’s YouTube channel for more company interviews and market updates.
