Muslims killed 20 Christians in Congo
Islamic militants killed over 20 people in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo last month.
The Muslims killed a church elder and a worship leader in the village of Mangina. A local pastor told Open Doors, “Fear is increasing. Brothers and sisters, please intercede for the safety of the rural commune of Mangina and for the strengthening of the faith of Christians.”
Such attacks are common in the country as Islamic extremists try to eradicate the presence of Christians.
According to Open Doors, Congo, Africa is the 29th worst country worldwide for the persecution of Christians.

Dozens reportedly died in the crossing. A local pastor told Evangelical Focus, “Pray for our city, for the authorities, and for all the staff working on the front line. … We hope that the Lord will allow us to be a beacon of hope and support for our city.”
