Step into Sacramento’s historic Albert Winn Fire Alarm Dispatch Station—restored and reborn as a dazzling art hub. For the first time in over a decade, this iconic Art Deco gem is hosting “Coordinates: Dispatch,” a massive exhibition featuring nearly 30 local artists showcasing sculptures, paintings, videos, and live performances. Built in 1937 as the city’s emergency call center, the building now bridges past and present, turning forgotten infrastructure into a vibrant cultural space. Curator Faith J. McKinnie highlights how architecture can evolve while honoring its legacy. The show runs August 8 to October 10, open Thurs/Fri 4–10 PM and Sat noon–10 PM at Winn Park. A rare fusion of history, creativity, and community.
