Washington Commanders training camp Day 5 gave the WR2 race clearer shape, with Treylon Burks and Luke McCaffrey showing different ways they can fit around Jayden Daniels.

Burks delivered his most complete first-team practice, turning situational involvement and play-action space into production. McCaffrey kept stacking positive days and caught the practice’s only passing touchdown, while Jaylin Lane separated but did not finish, and Van Jefferson and Dyami Brown created chances affected by quarterback placement. The running back competition also showed role clues, with Jerome Ford working as a situational outlet and Jacory Croskey-Merritt expanding his first-team usage.
