There may finally be a reason why Mississippi officials have chosen to seal the state autopsy in the Nolan Xavier Wells case.

Last night on Nancy Grace’s show, forensic expert and professor Joseph Scott Morgan discussed the sealed autopsy and made comments about the possibility of a further investigation. That immediately caught my attention.

After the show, I made several calls to people who know Joseph Scott Morgan personally, and I was able to gather what appears to be credible inside information regarding his connections to Mississippi and colleagues who are familiar with this investigation.

If the information I’ve received is accurate, it could be a positive sign that Mississippi investigators are conducting a thorough and honest investigation behind the scenes, and that the decision to seal the autopsy may be connected to protecting that process. If that’s true, we could potentially see meaningful developments, and possibly even arrests, sooner than many people expected.

That said, I want to make one thing very clear: I still have serious questions about the Mississippi District Attorney, the Governor, the Medical Examiner, and law enforcement. Nothing I discuss in this video should be interpreted as me giving anyone a free pass or suggesting that all of my concerns have disappeared. Those concerns remain until the facts and evidence prove otherwise.
