Episode Details

Houston Cougars eye a breakout season as quarterback Conner Weigman aims for elite status. Can slight improvements in completion rate and turnover control put Weigman in Heisman-level conversations? Parker Ainsworth highlights how a more experienced, healthier Weigman—coupled with returning coaches and new offensive weapons—could launch Houston’s offense to new heights in the Big 12.

Offensive line upgrades and a focus on dominance in the turnover battle set the foundation for the Cougars’ success. Key additions Shadre Hurst, Anthony Boswell, and Drew Terrill promise a stronger front, while the team’s ability to limit mistakes might be the difference-maker. Parker Ainsworth also breaks down the fast-moving Protecting College Sports Act, exploring its implications for NIL salary caps, Title IX requirements, and the future of NCAA athlete compensation. Could new legislative changes level the playing field for Houston and shift the college football landscape?
