Surfalorus Returns to Wilmington | Wilmington News
Description
Surfalorus Film Festival returns for its 15th year, August 7–9, in Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach, celebrating surf cinema with local talent and a special collaboration with the Wahine Classic. Started by director Zach Hanner after his move back to Wilmington, this nostalgic event grew from a single movie night into an independent festival that spent five years on the Outer Banks before returning home. Kick off Friday night with free outdoor shorts at Surf City Surf Shop, then dive into Jack Johnson’s surf-to-stage journey Saturday at Jengo’s Playhouse — tickets $10 each or $15 for a three-day pass. Bring your chair, bring your board, bring your love of waves and film.
