#Keyshawndavis #devinhaney #jaronennis
🥊 Was Devin Haney versus Keyshawn Davis really one of boxing’s biggest potential fights—or did Keyshawn walk away before the market could prove it? Davis’ coach argues that star power, not championships alone, determines a fighter’s value and questions why Keyshawn should have accepted approximately $2.14 million from Top Rank’s $8.55 million purse bid.
We compare that proposed fight with Jaron “Boots” Ennis versus Xander Zayas, a completed two-title showdown that ended with Ennis stopping Zayas in the seventh round. Which matchup had more proven sporting significance, financial value, fan interest and mainstream potential?
We examine the purse figures, available ticket and gate information, search interest, social-media conversation and each fighter’s popularity. Was Davis protecting his value, overestimating his market, or making a smart long-term business decision? And can Haney-Keyshawn still become the mega fight its supporters believe it is?
