1) בשלישי פ' ראה נאמר שהקב"ה מבקש ונותן כח להיות "אחרי ה"א תלכו וגו' ובו תדבקון" – ללכת בדרכיו שהורה בתורה, ולהשפיע כך גם על הזולת – "ואהבת לרעך כמוך", (וכפרש"י על "ובו תדבקון"), ועי"ז הנה לא רק שמתקרבים להקב"ה אלא שנדבקים בו! ועי"ז נמשכים עוד יותר ברכות לו ולכל המשפחה. 2) ההוראה מיום השלישי ש"הוכפל בו כי טוב" – "טוב לשמים וטוב לבריות", שיהודי צריך להתעסק בכל עניני טוב – תומ"צ – "טוב לשמים", ועזר וסיוע ליהודים הנמצאים סביבו, "טוב לבריות". בשלישי דפ' ראה מדובר אודות האזהרה לבנ"י לא להתנהג כמו העמים שימצאו בא"י כאשר יבוא לרשת אותה. וההוראה: אסור ללמוד ממעשיהם של האומות אע"פ שהם רבים ובנ"י הם "המעט מכל העמים"! הקב"ה הביאו בין שאר האומות כדי שיגלה את תוקף האמונה פשוטה אשר "אתה בחרתנו מכל העמים". ועי"ז זוכים לברכות ה' וכן ליחס של כבוד ולהערצה מכל האומות כפי שזוכים במדינה זו.

(1) Shelishi of parashas Re’eh states, “You must follow Hashem your G-d…and cleave to Him”: By following Hashem’s ways as set forth in His Torah, and inspiring other Jews to do the same (out of Ahavas Yisroel, which mirrors Hashem’s ways, as Rashi explains), one not only becomes close to Hashem, but attached to Hashem – which brings additional blessing upon a person and his entire family. (2) A general lesson from the third day of the week, when “It was good” was said twice, is the principle of “good for Heaven and good for mankind”: a Jew must occupy himself with Torah and mitzvos (“good for Heaven”), and also help other Jews around him (“good for mankind”). And a lesson from shelishi of parashas Re’eh in particular, which warns the Jewish people not to imitate the nations surrounding them: Although the Jewish people are “the fewest of all the nations,” they must not learn from the ways of the nations. Hashem placed the Jewish people among the other nations in order for them to reveal the power of their simple faith that “You have chosen us from among all the nations,” and in this way they merit Hashem’s blessings, as well as the respect of the nations, as Hashem has blessed us in this country.
