A V12 for the Purists

Before the Ferrari 12Cilindri was unveiled in 2024, many expected the 812 Superfast successor to feature some form of electrification, given that the SF90 Stradale and 296 GTB already did. A hybrid powertrain could have significantly improved performance, but it also would have changed the driving experience, including the character of the high-revving V12 and its unmistakable Prancing Horse sound.

Now, Novitec is taking that exhaust note to the next level with its new upgrade package for the 12Cilindri Spider – the model’s convertible version. It is one of the latest Ferraris the German tuner has worked on, along with the Daytona SP3, an Icona-series model originally limited to 599 examples.

Now Turn the Volume Up

For the 12Cilindri Spider, Novitec offers a power-optimized exhaust system with flap regulation, including a race version. Depending on the version, it can work with the factory exhaust tips or the tuner's own. Other available components include heat-shielded sport metal catalysts, an X-pipe, and a Switchtronic control module that lets the driver operate the exhaust flaps through the Manettino on the steering wheel.

The upgrades are not limited to the exhaust system. Novitec offers several forged multi-spoke wheel designs and sport springs that lower the car’s ride height. It has listed a wide array of carbon-fiber bodywork upgrades, including a front lip, side skirts, hood and air-vent accents, a rear diffuser, and a Spider-specific ducktail-style spoiler. There are also Spider-specific B-pillar carbon caps.

Under the hood, both the 12Cilindri coupe and Spider come standard with a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 from the F140 family – the same engine family used by the 812 Superfast and the iconic Enzo. Because Novitec has not mentioned engine tweaks, its output should remain the factory-rated 819 horsepower.

Novitec did not disclose pricing for its newest upgrade package. But to be fair, it is aimed at the 1% who can afford a 12Cilindri Spider anyway. The convertible starts at over $510,000 in the U.S., nearly $50,000 more than the coupe.

For those on Team Lamborghini, the tuner also offers bodywork, suspension, and exhaust upgrades for the Revuelto, another V12 exotic. Pairing the exhaust with special metal catalysts adds 33 horsepower, raising total system output to 1,048 hp.
