Sydney toll roads see biggest shake-up ever

Sydney's toll road system is undergoing its largest overhaul, with 10% price reductions on the M2, Lane Cove Tunnel and M7 from July next year, while the M5 and WestConnex receive no discounts. From 2028, two-way tolling will be introduced on the Harbour Bridge, Harbour Tunnel and Eastern Distributor when the Western Harbour Tunnel opens. Taxpayers will fund additional lanes on the M7 between Richmond and Windsor roads, scheduled for completion in 2031.
