Chris Wilder has been asked about Gus Hamer and did not deny there is interest. Sheffield United's manager took the question on Saturday evening, straight after his side drew nil nil at Bochum in their last friendly of the summer, and said there had been interest, of course, but that as far as he is concerned Hamer is a Sheffield United player. Danny Hall of the Sheffield Star had it that night and CoventryLive picked it up yesterday morning. On Hall's reporting there is no agreement between the clubs, United have not shifted their position, and Hamer is in the final year of his contract at Bramall Lane. Plus the night before, when United put on an event for their travelling fans at a bar in Bochum and supporters came away saying Hamer had told them he was going nowhere, with Hall's own caveat on that.
