Your voice, your cry, your worship — they have the ability to move the hand of God. 

Pastor Sheryl Brady reminds us that worship isn’t passive. When singers and dancers preceded Israel into battle in the Old Testament, their enemies weren’t frightened by their talent. They trembled because of the manifested presence of God that worship stirs up. 

Yet, we often burden our worship leaders and teams to carry what should come from within us. Our thirst for righteousness dictates our worship. Jesus paid a debt we couldn't pay. That alone is worth contending for. 

This is the season to stop loving God from a distance. Contend for His presence. Cry out for His glory. Watch what happens when His presence enters a room. Worship transports us from one dimension into another. It invites heaven into earth and changes circumstances. 

We can't survive without Him. The sooner we abandon comfort and embrace this truth, the sooner our praise will follow.
