His influence extended across five colleges as interim president, and he was honored with two honorary degrees and a place in the Peace College Athletics Hall of Fame. A devoted Presbyterian elder and Kiwanis member, he shaped accreditation standards nationally and is remembered by his children, grandchildren, and extended family.
