In this episode of The Dugout, we sit down with Cal and Isaac, two of the fifteen people indicted following Operation Metro Surge, the federal immigration occupation of the Twin Cities. We trace their political histories, from labor organizing and anti-cult work to anti-fascist organizing, and get a firsthand account of the ICE occupation of Minneapolis-St. Paul: the killing of Renee Goode, the general strike of January 23rd, and the federal raids that led to their arrest and indictment. We discuss the specific repression they're facing (including a pre-dawn SWAT raid): months-long surveillance, and federal charges that they argue amount to "thought crimes" and what kind of support actually matters right now.
