PLOT: 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' picks up where 2021’s 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' left off. In 'No Way Home', Doctor Strange cast a final magic spell that made the entire world forget Peter Parker ever existed, which fixed a dangerous tear in the multiverse.
When 'Brand New Day' opens, we see Spider-Man fighting crime alongside the police, taking advantage of all those Flock cameras with an illegal app he created. He’s still in love with MJ and misses his best friend Ned even though they have no idea who he is. Spider-Man keeps an eye on them by watching their Instagram stories.
One day, a tank rolls through the streets of New York City, and when Spider-Man stops it, there’s an 80-year-old lady inside. Then the old lady snaps out of it, saying she has no idea where she is. It turns out her mind and body were taken over by an invisible villain who can jump from person to person.
