Episode Details

We genuinely couldn't decide if this was a Watch... or a Skip. Nicolas Winding Refn's first film in nearly a decade is hypnotic, hilarious, violent, gorgeous, frustrating—and unlike anything else in theaters.

This week, Cupcake and WillDaBeast tackle Nicolas Winding Refn's long-awaited return with Her Own Private Hell, a hypnotic blend of neon noir, Hollywood satire, hyperviolence, eroticism, and dream logic that left us laughing, scratching our heads, and wanting to see it all over again.

Along the way we revisit Refn's remarkable career—from Bronson and Drive to Only God Forgives and The Neon Demon—while discussing Sophie Thatcher, Charles Melton's magnetic screen presence, stunning cinematography, David Lynch influences, and why this may be the strangest conversation we've ever had on Watch Skip Plus.

Whether you think it's a masterpiece or a complete disaster...we're not entirely sure you're wrong.
