Toys, Scams, & Baby Products | Parents discuss unnecessary stuff for babies & toddlers

Season 5 Episode 22 Published 1 month ago
Description

Throwback: Does society exploit new parents? This is the one where Emma and Elliot discuss consumerism, materialism, and capitalism. Being guilted into buying new and expensive items for your child, the scam of baby products, buying presents at birthdays and Christmas, toddler toys, and all the useless things that are marketed to parents. The challenge of wanting to buy less in a society that constantly wants us to buy more!

Plus: chat about the experience with our second child and how it's different.
