Proletarian TV | 17 July 2026 Joti Brar, Chair of the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist), discusses in this video how reports concerning rape and sexual violence are being weaponised to promote anti-immigration politics in Britain despite the complete absence of comprehensive ethnicity data. Bad actors, reactionary media commentators and politicians manipulating reports of sexual violence by racialising the information and associating it with the immigrant communities in Britain who are victims of imperialism in their own countries. By adopting such a framing, these bad actors and their ilk are attempting to divert attention from the real institutional and economic failures of our system onto migrants. This is just one of the many problems that are pinned on to migrants; others include: overstretched services, falling wages, deteriorating living standards, et cetera.
