NDIS advocate jailed for $700,000 fraud

Former NDIS advocate James Davies has been sentenced to 32 months in jail after defrauding the National Disability Insurance Scheme of $700,000. Davies, who worked as an NDIS planner and is himself an NDIS recipient, fraudulently increased the plans of two participants who were then billed for services they did not receive. He will serve only five months of his sentence due to the severity of his own disabilities.
