Carol Scott Captures Rolling Stones Magic | Oakland News
Description
In 1978, Carol Scott captured a legendary Rolling Stones shot that now hangs in London’s National Portrait Gallery—just one of the many iconic images she secretly documented from 1976 to 1985 across the Bay Area. After years of hiding her work, she and her daughter finally unveiled her archive, featuring never-before-seen photos of The Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia. Now, 36 of her photos—including 8 new to the public—are on display in Oakland and Sausalito until August, celebrating a lost era of music and a photographer who refused to let her story fade.
