That eye-watering price tag isn't just for bragging rights. Toyota has thrown in a laundry list of upgrades that put the GRMN in a different league from your run-of-the-mill GR Corolla.
Under the hood, the turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder still cranks out 300 hp, but now torque jumps to 302 lb-ft, all funneled through a close-ratio six-speed manual. Toyota's engineers went wild: there's a sub-radiator, intercooler spray, sharper steering, tweaked GR-FOUR all-wheel drive, sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and a suspension setup built just for this car.
