A 39-year-old South Australian police officer was stabbed in the throat while responding to an armed suspect on Main North Road in Elizabeth East. The suspect, who was initially shot in the leg by the officer's partner, continued his attack and attempted to enter several vehicles, including one with a baby inside. The injured officer, known only as Jessie, sustained non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be discharged from hospital, while the suspect remains under police guard awaiting serious charges.
