Episode Details

Is South Carolina football ready to shock college football in 2026? Former college football star and analyst David Pollack is buying into the Gamecocks, and there are plenty of reasons to believe Shane Beamer has assembled one of his most talented rosters yet.

On today’s Locked On Gamecocks, Chris Marler breaks down Pollack’s comments about LaNorris Sellers, Dylan Stewart, Nyck Harbor, Kendal Briles and South Carolina’s revamped offensive line. Could the biggest weakness from the past few seasons actually become a strength in 2026?

We also dive into the latest Blue-Chip Ratio rankings, where South Carolina has climbed to 48.2% after sitting at just 32% two years ago. The Gamecocks now rank ahead of Oklahoma, Tennessee, Missouri, Auburn, Kentucky, Arkansas and Vanderbilt among SEC programs in the numbers discussed on the show.

With Sellers at quarterback, Briles taking over the offense, major transfer portal additions and more high-end talent across the roster, expectations are rising in Columbia.

Is this finally the South Carolina team capable of making some real noise in the SEC?
