Evening Edition: Dr. Fauci Refuses to Testify Over His Handling of COVID-19
Description
Dr. Anthony Fauci invoked his Fifth Amendment right 111 times during a high-stakes Senate Homeland Security Committee hearing, chaired by Sen. Rand Paul, over his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The hearing followed the release of Fauci's 1,100-page personal diary which had contradicting entries and personal reflections from the pandemic era. Senator Paul has long argued Fauci outright lied to the American people about COVID's origins and his recommendations about school closures.
FOX’s Eben Brown speaks with Jonathan Turley, Fox News contributor, criminal defense attorney and the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University, who says Dr. Fauci's refusal to testify could have larger consequences for him.
