It’s another big year for Penguins’ 2022 first-round pick Owen Pickering, but this time, he actually has an opening. Hunter and Patrick begin the Wednesday edition of Locked On Penguins by discussing 2022 first-round pick defenseman Owen Pickering. (1:15) Following some lofty expectations, he has yet to really make his mark in the organization, but with a strong year last year in WBS and a weakened left side, he has a chance to take the leap in 2026-27. Then, with the roster still in flux, but the forwards at the top mostly set, Hunter and Patrick try to predict what the power play units will look like.
