Cooper Lavallee (pronounced luh-VAL-ee) is an emerging Americana and country singer-songwriter from Ogden, Utah, whose honest storytelling and road-tested performances are quickly earning him recognition across the Western music scene. A lifelong musician, Cooper picked up music at the age of eight and spent years honing his craft in coffee shops, street corners, and intimate venues before taking his songs on the road full-time.
After returning to Utah in 2024, Cooper embraced a nomadic lifestyle, converting his vehicle into a touring home and traveling throughout the West. Since then, he has performed in more than 40 towns across eight states, building a loyal following one show at a time through authentic performances and genuine connections with audiences.
Before becoming a full-time touring artist, Cooper worked a variety of jobs—including teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele for several years—which helped shape the grounded perspective found in his songwriting. His music blends elements of folk, country, Americana, blues, bluegrass, and roots rock, drawing comparisons to legendary storytellers such as John Prine, Townes Van Zandt, Blaze Foley, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, and John Craigie, while maintaining a voice that is uniquely his own.
Known for his quick wit and self-deprecating humor on stage, Cooper balances heartfelt songwriting with engaging storytelling, creating performances that feel as much like conversations as concerts. Whether playing a listening room, brewery, festival, or songwriter round, his focus remains the same: delivering honest songs that resonate long after the last note.
Today, Cooper Lavallee continues to tour nationally from his Utah home base, bringing his blend of authentic songwriting, Americana spirit, and old-school country influences to audiences across the country. As his fanbase continues to grow, he is establishing himself as one of the promising new voices in independent Americana and country music.
