Major drug and weapons bust at Glenfield safe house
Published 2 weeks, 2 days ago
Description
Police have raided a suspected organised crime safe house in Glenfield, Sydney's south-west, uncovering hand grenades, semi-automatic rifles, shotguns, a handgun, over a thousand rounds of ammunition, and an estimated $3 million worth of illicit drugs. A 26-year-old man has been charged with 27 offences relating to firearms, explosives, drug supply and proceeds of crime, while a 26-year-old woman has also been charged. The property was located next to a daycare centre, and police believe the pair were operating as contract criminals for organised crime syndicates.
