Could an annual Big Ten–SEC scheduling alliance finally settle college football’s biggest conference debate on the field?

Tony Petitti said fans want more opportunities to watch the Big Ten and SEC compete against each other—and suggested the conferences should give them those games. Nothing has been finalized, but the Big Ten commissioner’s comments opened the door to a potential scheduling agreement or conference challenge with major television, playoff and realignment implications.
