AmericanFortress released ZK-PoSP on ePrint today: a post-quantum scheme that protects existing crypto wallets by proving, in zero knowledge, that the wallet knows the seed its address was derived from. Same seed, same address, no fund migration, no key rotation. It targets the gap every other proposal leaves open: lattice signatures, key registries and migration plans all require holders to act, which is an operational and legal minefield for ETFs, custodians and treasuries. Company-reported benchmarks: about a fifth of a cent to secure an address once, an eighth of a cent per transaction, 12-second signing, 9 to 10 millisecond verification. The company also claims 21x efficiency over the Ethereum Foundation's migration approach, projected to exceed 210x with hardware acceleration. The scheme is chain-agnostic, covering Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and any curve-based chain using BIP32, BIP44 or SLIP-10 derivation, which is most actively managed funds. The honest caveats: the paper is not yet peer-reviewed, chains must adopt proof verification through a node-level upgrade for any of it to bind, and addresses with already-exposed public keys, including roughly $470 billion in Bitcoin, stay vulnerable until networks enforce post-quantum checks.
