Episode Title: Stop Being Realistic — It's Ruining Your Life | Law of Assumption | Neville Goddard
Episode Summary:
"Be realistic."
You've heard it your entire life. From parents. From teachers. From friends who mean well. From that voice inside your head that mistakes fear for wisdom.
But what if "being realistic" is the single greatest obstacle between you and the life you were born to live?
In this powerful lecture, we explore the deepest principles of the Law of Assumption — and why realism is not wisdom, but a memory dressed up in respectable clothes, pretending to be the future.
🔹 Realism is not wisdom – Realism is what happens when you let the past design your future. You consult what already exists and shrink your dream until it fits inside that little box.
🔹 Reality is a mirror – It does not argue with you. It does not negotiate. It simply reflects back, with stunning precision, whatever you have assumed to be true about yourself and your life.
🔹 The trap of the evidence – You point at the evidence and say, "See, I'm just being realistic." But you're not being realistic. You're being recursive. You're watching your own assumption come back to you and mistaking it for proof.
🔹 The law always works – The Law of Assumption cannot fail any more than gravity can fail. The problem isn't that the law doesn't work. The problem is that you keep assuming the same thing.
🔹 Wanting vs. having – Wanting something is a confession that you do not have it. The mirror reflects back the state of wanting, not the state of having. You must enter the wish fulfilled.
🔹 The gap – When you begin to live from the wish fulfilled, the outer world does not change overnight. The gap is not evidence that the law has failed. The gap is evidence that the law is working.
🔹 Persistence is the only skill – Most people fail not because they cannot imagine, but because they cannot remain. They imagine the new state for an evening, then spend three days in the old state.
🔹 You are already lying to yourself – The only question is which lie you will commit to. The story that says "I always mess this up" is not a fact. It's a story you've told yourself until it calcified into truth.
The core teaching in one sentence:
"Stop trying to get to the life you want and start being the person who already has it. Not acting like them. Not performing them. Be them inwardly, quietly, persistently, until the outer world catches up."
You are not being arrogant when you do this. You are not being childish. You are doing the most mature, most courageous, most spiritually adult thing a human being can do: taking responsibility for the inner cause of your outer life.
The world does not need more realistic people. It is drowning in them.
Be faithful instead. Faithful to the version of you that is waiting on the other side of your old assumptions.
