The Orlando Magic are hopeful to make a climb up the Eastern Conference. They know they left a lot of potential on the table even after winning 45 games last year.
Orlando's entire offseason was based on the assumption that the team has an elite starting lineup to build around. The Magic did not see it on the floor enough. To realize their potential, they need to see the team on the floor together.
Orlando also needs to see its defense take a step back toward being elite. The Magic's defense fell off last year from a top defense to an average one. And that is the biggest reason for the team failing to meet expectations last season.
There is a really good team in Orlando. But the group must meet its potential.
