A leading housing charity worked with over 200 Clare households in a precarious rental situation between April and June of this year. Threshold has revealed it worked 210 cases in the county in the second quarter of 2026, with these households comprising 271 adults and 214 children. Of these, 156 households were at risk of homelessness. Threshold National Advocacy Manager Ann-Marie O'Reilly says the majority of people it liaised with in Clare were facing imminent eviction.
