In January 2012, 32-year-old Irasema Chavez-Sanchez was stabbed more than 100 times inside her Arlington, Texas apartment. Investigators had a single droplet of the killer's blood — but no match. The case went cold for 14 years. This month, Arlington police arrested 42-year-old Mayra Velasquez, a real estate agent and one of Irasema's close friends. The break came from FBI genetic genealogy and a discarded plastic fork Velasquez left behind at lunch. She's been charged with capital murder and says she's completely innocent. Vanessa walks you through the killing, the 14-year gap, and the DNA technology that finally attached a name to the blood at the scene.
