On this episode Dave has an adventure with Bob Henrickson, host of KZUM's How's It Growing and Horticulture Program Coordinator with Plant Nebraska along with our favorite Nebraska Historian, Matt Steinhausen! This week we head to Arbor Lodge in Nebraska City to see some amazing State Champion trees!
We start out outside of Arbor Lodge getting to know Bob and Matt drops knowledge about the history of the lodge and J. Sterling Morton after which we talk a stroll on the grounds and get to see some amazing trees champion or not. We also stop at Wyuka Cemetery in Nebraska City to see the grave site of J. Sterling Morton and the many Treestones grave markers.
We end with some great food and a conversation at El Portal Mexican Restaurant in Nebraska City.
