Local author Jennifer Riem is bringing her inspiring children’s book series, The Adventures of Twilla and Rye, to life at the Tulsa Botanic Garden — a place where she found healing after battling a rare blood condition. Inspired by her journey, the books are set in national parks and became her beacon of hope. Now, she’s penned a brand-new story for the garden’s StoryWalk trail, inviting families to read along while exploring nature. Riem will also join the Summer BotaniCamp in August, guiding kids to discover the magic of storytelling in the outdoors — a perfect blend of creativity and nature that garden CEO Chuck Lamson says sparks powerful learning. Camp registration closes July 30.
