Ca: El sol brillava amb força sobre les muntanyes de Montserrat.
En: The sun shone brightly over the mountains of Montserrat.
Ca: Les roques tenien formes estranyes, com si haguessin estat esculpides per gegants fa molt de temps.
En: The rocks had strange shapes, as if they had been carved by giants a long time ago.
Ca: Martí i Laia caminaven pel camí empedrat.
En: Martí and Laia walked along the cobbled path.
Ca: Feia setmanes que Laia havia tornat de l'estranger, però Martí encara la sentia lluny.
En: It had been weeks since Laia had returned from abroad, but Martí still felt she was distant.
Ca: —Laia, mira quina vista!
