Malaysia is rolling out its own refugee registration system, the Dokumen Pendaftaran Pelarian (DPP), while asking the UNHCR to temporarily suspend new registrations. Joanne Chua, Executive Director of Asylum Access Malaysia, discusses what this means for refugees and asylum seekers, and what it means for their safety and wellbeing.
