Texas Representative Joaquin Castro strongly condemned Wall Street firms and major financial entities for profiting from what he called the "commodification of child suffering" and "child imprisonment". His remarks come as more than 110 House Democrats signed a letter to DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin demanding the immediate closure of the South Texas Family Residential Center in Dilley, Texas due to severe brutality and inhumane conditions.
